MAKING A COLOUR PALETTE

Another illustrative and design-y post for you! I did a livestream at work the other day, which involved me drawing and coloring-in on Photoshop. One of the questions that the audience asked was “how did you get them colors up” and so my curious friend, I shall show you.

OH SO AU NATUREL! - MORPHE 12NB

Sometimes you just want a chill eye shadow look right? Having owned the two Lime Crime Venus palettes, I am in no way afraid to pack on some color, but every now and then I just want to keep the eye shadow on the DL; A more natural look.

I have owned the Morphe 12NB palette for a few months now and dabbled in-and-out, but only recently have I been using it on a daily basis. It is perfect for a base layer and if I want a pop, I reach to my other more vibrant palettes and dab on some cheeky color.

A POST ABOUT DONUTS

I’m not even sorry that this post is about donuts. I love carbs – who doesn’t? Basically, donuts are great and if you don’t think they are then seriously I don’t even want to talk to you. I have doodled my favorite variety of donut below with really important annotations about the deliciousness. Overall I would have to say that a classic glazed donut will always have the number one place in my heart. No need for a million fancy toppings - as you can’t beat perfection.

Also some words might be spelt wrong, but that’s okay because who needs immaculate English when you have heaven in fried dough???

5 THINGS ON MY DESK

Okay I have to admit something. This post was going to be a full-blown desk tour right? BUT the lighting was really bad the day I took the photos, that it just didn’t do my creative space any justice. I wanted to show it off the best light ya’ know? Never defeated, I have still managed to post something related to my doodle abode.

Here are five of the many random items I have lying/pinned/stuck/placed around my desk. They are items that inspire, look groovy or just simply make me smile. As I cherish odd bits-and-bobs in general, don’t hesitate to share your loveable crap you have gathered over the years, I would love to see!

SOME STRANGER THINGS

Stranger Things, that is all I need to say. Everyone was telling me to watch it - “Amy have you watched Stranger Things yet?!” “Omg have you seen Stranger Things?!” and up until Friday, no, I had not seen Stranger Things.
